Lisa and Jason
Lisa’s Story: I have always loved the eHarmony commercials that I heard on the radio or saw on TV. The couples looked so happy, and even though I said I would never try something like that, I knew that if I did, it would be through eHarmony. I decided to just fill out the free profile to read what it said about me, but wasn’t going to sign up. I was at a point in my life where I knew what I was hoping for and dreaming of, and I wasn’t finding it on my own. One day in July 2006, I impulsively signed up for a year membership with eHarmony…just for the fun of it! I wasn’t even going to tell anyone about it, but within a week I was matched with Jason…and I couldn’t keep it to myself any longer. I was getting very excited and had to share the good news. I had communicated with 2 other matches before Jason, but there was something different about him that I noticed right away. Jason’s Story: I had also heard the commercials on the radio and thought that eHarmony seemed like a good way to get to know someone. I wasn’t convinced that I could ever find the love of my life on a website and so I didn’t think much of trying it myself. That is until a friend of mine at work told me about how he had met his wife on eHarmony. He told me how it worked and encouraged me to try it. One day I did. Within a few days I was matched with Lisa! We seemed to have an almost instant chemistry, and it was really easy for me to write to her. Our Story: We quickly went through the initial steps of the eHarmony process, and began open communication. We spent one month sending lengthy daily messages to each other before moving on to lengthy daily phone calls. We may have been skeptical, however, this turned out to be the perfect way to get to know a lot of important and fun stuff about each other. We had gotten to the point where we were so comfortable with each other without ever having met in person, that we were both very nervous to meet in person. We didn’t want a relationship that seemed so promising to not be what we imagined it could be. We went out to lunch on our first date, and were not disappointed. Our relationship grew AND we began falling in love!!!!!!! We were engaged on April 15, 2007…and are planning our wedding. Thank you so much eHarmony for bringing us together!
