Janet and Todd
We are both the youngest in our families, both from New York state, went to historical black universities (Howard and Hampton) and both have the same last name. Amazingly, Morgan is her maiden name. Also, we are both deacons in our respective churches!
She winked at me in April 2011 and after a few emails, we decided to speak on the phone and eventually set up a meeting. She drove from her Maryland home to my church in Brooklyn, NY to worship with me and then after service asked her if she would have lunch with at a renowned Brooklyn eatery. From the moment she first got out of her car I was impressed.
After eight months of dating and making trips back and forth from New York to Maryland, I decided that it was time to final claim my soulmate. I proposed to her over the phone on January 7th 2012 and gave her an engagement ring not long after. On Saturday, September 15th 2012, Janet and I were married in Baltimore, Maryland on the Spirit of Baltimore's Inner Harbor boat with 140 guests. Truly a glorious day with bright sunshine and calm waters. A day that we will both cherish for the rest of our lives.
We honeymooned in Aruba and enjoyed that experience immensely as well. As we head into six months of marriage, we thank God for bringing us both together. The transition period has gone relatively smooth since I moved from NYC to Maryland. Thanks EHarmony for getting us together as well. Some people are skeptical about on-line dating, but I can personally say it works if you stay committed to the process and to the relationship.
