Misty and Eddy
After meeting on eHarmony and having intriguing conversations over email, we met on April 7 last year. After our third date, I sent a text to a good friend saying, "I'm done looking." Prior to meeting Misty, I wasn't sure if that "instant" feeling was something that could happen to me, but I believe the eHarmony process helped us get to that point.
We're both in our mid thirties-- we'd gotten to the point where we knew what we were looking for, but finding it was really the challenge. Misty was in process of moving back to the midwest from San Francisco last year and joined eHarmony to see if there were any compatible mates in Cleveland.
After our first date at a park and over dinner, we saw each other regularly and quickly blossomed into an exclusive relationship. Over the course of the last year, we've traveled together, become close with one another's families, and just smiled, laughed, and enjoyed each other. All the while, we've been holding hands-- if we're together, and we usually are, there's a good chance we are holding hands. We walked in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer Research in San Francisco in July of last year and probably held hands for 25 of the over 30 miles we walked! Every day I am thankful for having found such an affectionate, perfect partner for me!
Almost immediately we talked about planning big trips, what our ideal house would look like (a front porch with rocking chairs is a must!), and future shared adventures. Planning turned into living out, and at each step we became more sure and felt more fortunate to be with one another. We went ring shopping in December, and I proposed through a scavenger hunt all over Cleveland this February. We couldn't be more excited!
