Lisa and Steve
We decided to meet on April 17th, 2009 at the oh so romantic Red Lobster in Madison. He posted a horrible blurry picture on eHarmony of when he was bearded, heavier, and really tan so I had no idea who I was looking for. Luckily, he flagged me down and I was pleasantly surprised. I was late. Steve was a little annoyed but he got over it. We talked, told our stories, laughed, and decided we wouldn’t mind seeing each other again.
I eventually met his sons, his family, his friends. He met my bird, my family, my friends. I learned about hockey, football, baseball, and started experimenting with cooking. We all laughed more. After a few years, it came to the point where the talk about me finding a job near Waupun needed to become a reality.
After 20 years with my current company, I left and started working in Beaver Dam in June 2012. I lived out of Steve’s house in Waupun during the week then went back to Madison on the weekends to regroup, do laundry, and see my family and friends. We had talked about getting engaged before the new job. We shopped for rings together. I knew it was coming but we were busy with activities and getting my condo ready for listing. During the Beaver Dam River Days fireworks on the pier of a local bar, Steve proposed. That was last July. Our wedding day is coming up this week on April 17, 2013 - the four year anniversary of our first eHarmony date.
How would I have ever found this wonderful man way up in Waupun on my own? After so many years, I’m so glad eHarmony has the compatibility dimensions figured out because I may never have got it right on my own. I can’t even pin point what it is that makes Steve so amazing for me. He is so positive, easy going, yet decisive, funny, outgoing, and never forgets his priorities. He balances me out. It just works. We are so happy and excited to get married this week. Thank you so much!
