Dick and Susan
My name is Dick and I met my wife Susan on eHarmony.com. I know I cannot properly articulate my happiness and thankfulness, but I will try. At age 60, I found it is never too late to learn that your “soul mate” does exist. I would have never found Susan if it were not for your services. I was dubious about computer dating, but your radio ads encouraged me to try an online dating service for the first time.
You matched us on Leap Day of 2004. Ah, February 29th will always be a very, very special day for me. Susan and I exchanged our personality profiles before our first date. We stopped reading them after discovering the first three pages were identical. For our first date, we chose to have dinner at a local restaurant. For almost four hours, we talked as though we were best friends who had not seen each other for years. Susan has a term for the immediate connection we made. She said we were “old souls.” You call it soul mates.
Our second date followed the same pattern. We would have talked longer at each dinner, but reality stepped in when we realized staffs at both restaurants were waiting for us to leave so they could close. Each told us they waited because they could see how much we were enjoying ourselves. They too knew we were a perfect match.
Since those first two dates, we knew we were meant for each other. We married on July 1, 2005. Now, at my age, I know that the rest of my life will be full of love, laughter, friendship, and, yes, romance.
Thank you eHarmony for doing what you do. We would have never met were it not for you. Your process works. For persons of any age, you are a blessing.
(PS. My daughter took the picture I am providing. It is from the week of July 4. It does accurately depict how young you make us feel.)
