Emily and Daniel
Dan and I met on eHarmony back in April of 2007. I had tried eHarmony as just a way to meet some new people that I might have an interest in, but after my first match flopped I felt like I had given it a try, and I wouldn’t renew my subscription. I was matched with Dan, and I decided I would give it one more try. His profession, “golf professional” was something I had never heard of, so really, I just wanted to get to the conversation stage to ask him what that meant!
After talking on the phone and through email and getting along so well, we decided to meet at a restaurant by my apartment. I think we were both excited and nervous! I knew it was him as soon as I got out of the car. The food at the restaurant was a little weird, but we spent the entire meal talking, and when he asked me if there was a movie theater or something around, I knew he felt the same way I did; that we wanted the date to continue no matter what we were doing!
We were pretty much inseparable since that day; I don’t think we’ve spent more than 5 days apart since, and that was only once. Dan proposed on Easter of 2008, after sending me on an Easter egg hunt. I thought I was getting a new digital camera! Each egg had a note with something that he loved about me. After the last egg was opened, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I immediately burst into tears and said yes!
I think the reason we will be together forever is that Dan and I make a great team, and I’m so thankful that I found him.
