Christine and Bernard
It wasn’t supposed to happen. We lived seven hours away from each other. But we had so much in common; we both lost our spouses two years ago after 35+ year marriages. After a week of emails and phone calls, we decided to meet somewhere in the middle. This involved Bernie taking a ferry from New London, CT to Greenport, Long Island. Lunch reservations were at noon. At 5 p.m. the owner politely asked us to leave because they had to set up for dinner. We became engaged two weeks later and were married in three months. We still fly back and forth to see each other on the weekend until Bernie moves from Rochester to Long Island on Memorial Day. Oh, and Bernie’s daughter met her husband on eHarmony too.
