Lorena and James
He was a little older than my limit and not exactly the same spiritual beliefs as mine, but a number of other important issues like his love of family and cookies for that matter were on point. We shared a number of activities and had at least a couple that were not right on. A good mix.
James sent me an initial contact "I like your smile". I responded in like kind. He then skipped right ahead to e-harmony e-mail (which frankly put me off a bit), but I was intrigued so we began the process of exchanging daily greetings over the course of a week or so. Then he suggested we exchange numbers and, out of character for me, I phoned him first!
We got a long famously from the start. The conversations were easy and flowed seamlessly. No awkward silences or pregnant pauses. It was amazing that we vibed so well right off.
James suggested we meet for lunch to put faces to the good phone chemistry and so we did on April 6, 2011. It was a lovely lunch at what we discovered was each our favorite Thai restaurant. We learned that we had lived 3 miles down the road from each other for the preceeding 13 years and never crossed paths until eHarmony brough us together. James phoned me after lunch to set our next date, and we have been entwining out lives together ever since.
We took the day off to celebrate the one year anniversary of our first date this past Friday, April 6, 2012, and returned to the scene of our first meeting. After lunch we were preparing to leave when James proposed to me on our one year dating anniversary at our favorite Thai restaurant. It was more than I could have ever hoped for or dreamed.
