Brad and Pam
I spent many years wondering about how to find the right person, and not having any success in doing just that. It just seemed impossible to meet someone who would 'fit' me by random choice, chance meeting, or arranged through friends. I had tried a couple of other match making/dating services on line, but just didn't feel right about the difficulty and time spent trying to get to know someone well enough to decide if they were worth pursuing. After seeing the eHarmony commercials, and realizing that a personality based match would be a much better starting point to finding the right person, I signed up. I was surprised and impressed by the type and number of questions asked, as you tried to ensure that you fully understood 'me', not just a quick bio. I was matched with Pam, a nurse from Iowa. As I read thru the initial information, I was very interested. We were so much alike, even read the same books. It didn't take long for us to progress to open communications. We had a couple of very long phone conversations before our first date. Even though we were meeting, in person, for the first time, I felt like I already knew so much about her and immediately felt comfortable with her. That first four hour dinner date left me with a feeling of wanting more of Pam in my life. We continued to talk on the phone for hours each night. Even though we were separated by almost 500 miles, we managed to see each other nearly every weekend and decided to get married on Feb 22, 2004. Since she was the answer to my prayers, I can honestly say this was a match made in heaven. Today, we still look at each other and wonder how we would have ever found each other if it had not been for eHarmony.
It was always my dream to be a wife and mother. Like many women, once I hit my late 30s, I wondered if that dream would ever come true. There were certain characteristics that were very important to me in a mate, but as I got older I was told I was being to “picky”. This is why eHarmony was so appealing to me. I could be absolutely honest about myself and through the personality profile matching, especially the must haves/can’t stands, was able to find my soul mate, Brad.
On August 2, 2006 we welcomed our twin boys, Ryan and Colby, into our lives. They are such a joy! I am enjoying my new life as a stay-at-home Mom, something I never thought would be possible before eHarmony. Thanks!
