eHarmony Selects FotoFlexer For Advanced Image Editing FotoFlexer is Now the Built-In Image Editor for eHarmony’s Matchmaking Services, Enabling Members to Put their Best Foot Forward

BERKELEY, Calif., May 8, 2009 - FotoFlexer, the world’s most advanced Web-based image editing solution, today announced it has been selected by eHarmony, Inc. as the exclusive built-in photo editor for all of its online matchmaking services domestically and internationally. New members can now seamlessly touch up their personal photos without leaving the sites.

Unlike traditional online dating sites, eHarmony matches singles for long-term relationships based on the compatibility of their core values, attitudes, personality traits and interests. Photos also play a crucial role in the process, noted Bob Holden, vice president and general manager of eHarmony North America.

“eHarmony members who post photos are nine times more likely to receive communication requests from their matches, compared to members who do not post their photos,” Holden claimed. “FotoFlexer has easy-to-use tools that we have integrated into our products to give members a better overall experience.”

eHarmony has implemented several of FotoFlexer’s tools, including:

  • Basic image editing – Photos can be re-sized, rotated, flipped, cropped, duplicated and corrected with red-eye reduction.
  • Color effect options – Images can be modified with color effects such as sepia, grayscale, blueprint and many more.
  • Smart scissors – An object can be cut out of its background with just a few clicks.
  • Enhanced border system – Border width can be automatically adjusted with a simple click and drag.

After completing edits, users can either create a new copy or replace the existing photo and then save the photos directly into their profiles.

“To be selected by eHarmony to help their members put their best foot forward with great profile photos is a huge honor and a great validation of our platform,” said Sharam Shirazi, CEO of FotoFlexer. “It’s great to know that our technology is now an integral part of the ever-important first impression.”
