The one thing I am passionate about...
I am most passionate about justice and fairness. Children should be protected and so should those that cannot help or speak for themselves. I still believe in kindness to others, instead of "kicking people when they're down". I also believe a lot can be solved by just being honest. Basically, it all boils down to the Golden Rule. It just seems not many people believe in that rule anymore.
I typically spend my leisure time
Reading, time with kids, work on home. When weather permits, bicycling, hiking, caving, rock climbing, rapelling, even cliff "diving" (jumping really). Sometimes some crafts (especially in the winter).
The most influential person in my life has been
I am looking for someone who is kind, honest, sincere, compassionate and who has similar interests. Someone who knows that life is good, who likes to live and realizes that life is an adventure.
The first thing people notice about me
I am intelligent, well-spoken and love to laugh.
The last book I read and enjoyed
Michael Crichton's State of Fear. It dispelled all the fears about the majority of environmental issues that everyone is so sure is taking place.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My 3 Wonderful Children
- God getting me through difficult times
- My family
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
Most people think I'm stand-offish or "tough", when really, I'm not. I have been described as a toasted marshmallow. When I get to know someone, they see that I'm really tender-hearted.
Friends Describe me as
Affectionate, Hard Working, Intelligent, Physically Fit
A little more about me
I have been through a lifetime of adversity and grief in the past few years. These have made me strong and made me appreciate life and how the little things really don't matter. I've come to realize that there really isn't a lot to get overly upset about because it can be so much worse. There is so much to enjoy in life.
