More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am passionate about observing the world, and capturing it in some way through art, design or writing. And summer, I love summer. I come from a place of everlasting winter, so warm weather is a novelty and allows for outdoor activity without all those cumbersome layers of clothing. I also play team sports, which is definitely another passion of mine.

I typically spend my leisure time

I enjoy outdoor movies in the summer, and walks on the Brooklyn Heights boardwalk. People-watching on a busy New York street can be so much fun! I love playing team sports and I read on the subway every day.

The most influential person in my life has been

I am looking for someone who is comfortable with themselves, who is honest and respectful and can find humor even in otherwise serious situations. I know these are a bunch of qualities rather than just one, but all important to me.

The first thing people notice about me

I am enthusiastic about life, and apparently people notice this about me. It's not in an 'I'm smiling on the outside, but am dark and brooding on the inside', it's pretty much just a part of who I am. That's not to say I don't get a little down if it's raining and I'd planned on going to the beach...

The last book I read and enjoyed

The Great Gatsby. We all read it in school, but reading it outside of having to analyze every line, I totally loved it. It's unrequited love, the quest for money, greed, and the inevitable fall of the rich and powerful. Depressing-sounding now that I think about it. I loved Fitzgerald's writing-style. It felt like the precursor to the beat writing, and Kerouack is one of my faves, 1920's New York, you can't beat that era!

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My family because I can share anything with them and we all get along amazingly well.
  2. Being healthy enough to enjoy all the things in life; food, sports, travel.
  3. All my friends who are so genuine and fun to be around.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I can be good at Trivial Pursuit, only I don't tend to remember the answers at the moment I need them, it's usually the day after...
