My fiancée and I had both been on eHarmony before and had not found success. We decided to try it again about March of this year. My friend was helping me pick who I was going to talk to and I was going to close him but she said why not he looks like fun. We started communicating and calling each other on the phone. After about a week and a half he asked me on our first date, to the Oregon coast. I was really nervous; when I showed up at his door he had a Mohawk. Needless to say I was a little shocked. Anyway, we went to the beach and had a good time even in the rainy weather. On the way home he asked me out to dinner (which was an extension of the planned date). I was excited and said yes. He got a text that asked if he wanted to hang out with his friends.

He texted back and said no, (let me preface this next sentence in he did not tell them where we were). As we were in the middle of the meal his friends showed up and proceeded to sit right next to us. It was nerve racking. After that we went back to his house and talked for awhile. I was so nervous that when I left I practically ran out of the house and tripped down his stairs. The next day my sister was in town and we were going shopping for her wedding, I was telling her about this date. I told her that he would never call me again because the date and been fraught with nervousness and “weird” situations. He texted me at 11:30 that morning and told me the Mohawk was gone and he wanted to see me again soon. We have been together ever since. He proposed to me on August 20th. We have been busily planning our wedding and our new life together and are very much in love! Thank you eHarmony!
