Our first date lasted 9 hours. He was so funny and sweet, for some reason, I never felt self-conscious, not for a minute. It was as if I was talking to someone I had known for years. It didn’t take any time to figure out how much we had in common, and not just superficial stuff like our dragon tattoos and love of Southern Rock, but thing like our outlook on life, our respect for how hard our parents have worked to give us opportunity, and our curiosity for life.

I know that I never have to go through anything alone, he is always right there by my side. And the best part is, it’s not just the two of us that have been brought together, it is our large, wonderful families that have come together as well. Of course, such a beautiful man came from a wonderful family and I am proud to be gaining wonderful in-laws. Everyone is so excited and happy for us. Our wedding will be in my hometown on Long Beach, California this summer. We will be surrounded by so much love and joy that I feel my heart may just burst.
