Misty and Paul
I had just turned 30 when I met my friend Teresa. Teresa and I became fast friends and started to scheme on how we could meet our Mister Right. First we tried speed dating. Trying to find a connection in 3 minutes with up to 50 different men failed miserably. We tried single dances; we spent most the time talking to each other. We then began to research the computer-dating scene. We decided that we liked that eHarmony asked us who we were before matching us with others. Teresa signed up first, she was excited about it and filled me in on all the details, I soon followed…. My subscription was about to end when I initiated contact with Paul. He had just started his subscription when he got the email. The first time we talked on the phone it lasted over an hour. All we remember is the conversation went smoothly and time passed quickly. Two days later he called early in the morning to tell me of a bad accident on my path to work. He was already taking care of me. That Friday we had the best first date EVER!! We met at a bar/restaurant a block from where I work. It was like meeting up with an old friend. My face hurt from laughing at his funny and not so funny jokes particularly his witty and mind provoking jokes about snowmen and It’s a Wonderful Life. Spark, Spark, Spark! Friends and family comment on how well we are for each other, one friend has even joked that Paul and I have our own language. Independence Day weekend Paul asked me to marry him and that spark became fireworks. On November 5, 2005 we were married, and this September we welcomed our first baby. Thank you for helping me find my best friend. Did I mention that Teresa caught the bouquet at our wedding….Her wedding was beautiful.
