They had their first date on Friday the 13th at an Argentinian restaurant, and quickly realized over a pitcher of Sangria that they had more in common than just what the website had told them.  They found that they both loved sports and games, exotic foods, and crazy new adventures.  Since their college football teams were playing each other the very next day (and since they both wanted to see each other again), they made a friendly wager that whomever's team lost had to plan the next date. 

Since the Cougs lost to the Bruins, the ball was in Juli's court to plan an epic Date #2.  Not one to settle for dinner and a movie, Juli instead signed them up for the LA Amazing Race - a 6 hour scavenger hunt around the entire city where they would have no choice but to get along and work together as a team.  Not only did "Team Legendary" have a blast running around the city together drenched in sweat and solving clues, but they actually came in 3rd place!  Not bad teamwork for a mere 2nd date :-) 

Juli and Will's relationship is amazing because we compliment each other in so many ways.  Even after 3 years of dating, we constantly surprise each other and always make each other laugh. Will is already adored by Juli's family - including all 7 of her nieces and nephews, who already call him Uncle Will.

And Will's family has welcomed Juli with open arms.  Despite the cultural differences and occasional language barrier with Will's parents (Will was born in Taiwan), Juli already feels like a part of the family.  Since Juli's family lives thousands of miles away, we spend every Thanksgiving with Will's family - a festive 'fusion' evening of turkey and stuffing with a side of chow mein!
