Brian and I were engaged on July 4th, 2009 in Washington DC on the National Mall during the firework finale. 

We met June 6, 2008.  On Independence Day 2008, we went on a special date in his hometown and watched the local fireworks together...that's the day we both knew there was something special between us.  

We've dated for the past year and found that we can communicate with each other in a way that aids in overcoming issues that do arise.  He is an engineer, and I am a therapist...so it has been enlightening to see how we can work together and how we problem solve.
