Patrick and I met several days after our first brief phone call in which we discussed several silly facts about ourselves and some of our likes and dislikes. We decided to meet at BJ's Pizza because of his surprise (read: abhorrence) at the fact that I had never had a Pizzookie. We met and quickly realized that we had a ridiculous amount of fun with each other no matter what we were doing. Spontaneity definitely defines our relationship, as mixture of random spontaneous trips or outings combined with our grounded lives and interests.

There's so much more to our story that I feel like enumerating some of my favorite memories is probably more telling of the type of relationship that we have. One time, Patrick insisted on staying over and driving my friends to the airport at five o'clock in the morning so that I wouldn't have to go by myself. He takes the helm on dinner and dishes when I have finals... dishes!! He would say that our trip to Disneyland with his family was one of his. He really enjoyed coming home and meeting my family (he had his first Maryland crab, and this guy does NOT prefer seafood). He says one of his favorite parts of the trip was the flight home together, he always takes note of the small details and that's where I miss a lot of things. I think our story is one of compatibility, great friendships and excitement.
