Leanne and I met in person for the first time on October 24th, 2008.  We met up at a little dive bar after work to have a couple of drinks at happy hour.  I wasn't quite sure what to expect because she just had a head shot on her profile, but when she walked in I was shocked because she was beautiful. 

Being a software developer, sometimes I find it a little difficult to come out of my shell and actually be sociable, but with Leanne, we just clicked.  It really was an amazing first date, it was supposed to be just an hour or so to feel each other out, but we ended up staying at the bar for 5 hours just talking, it was really amazing.  At that point we were having such a great time that we decided to go country/western dancing.  We had such a wonderful time dancing and talking, our first date didn't end until almost 2 in the morning.  (9 hours is a record for a first date, I think).

The week after our first date, Leanne had to travel for work so we only got to talk on the phone.  That week we talked on the phone at least 3 hours each night, just getting to know each other better.  It was during those long phone calls that I knew that I was in love with her and wanted to make her my wife. 

We can't thank the eHarmony service enough for matching us up.  You can't put a price-tag on true love, but the $100 I paid was more than worth it.
