Thank you eHarmony. I had decided that I was at a point in my life where maybe I was meant to be myself. I had decided that I was tired of the "game" of dating. One disappointing relationship after another. On a whim, Labor day weekend of 2007 I put myself on eHarmony. I just sat down and let the words poor out. No games, just the blunt truth. Because I was tired of being chosen because of "outer" cover, I decided to put the inner self on and see if anyone one interested in the true me. After one week of answering everyone inquiries. I met Ray, we communicated through all the protocol steps, and then decided to meet in person. Wow!!!!! As he often relays to our friends. After sitting for 3 hours talking and then walking, it was only natural to take each other’s hands. It felt like the most natural thing to do.
Ray walked me to my car (which by the way, was parked right beside mine) and leaned in for the ever so light kiss. As I drove away , I remember being absolutely shaken to the core. I walked immediately into my house and sat down at the computer. I composed and email to him and asked him to be completely honest " did you feel that, the electricity?" . After 3 months I introduced him to my grown children, who immediately gave their blessing. My children traveled on our wedding trip with us, my son performed the ceremony and my daughter was my maid of honor. I am truly blessed and want to thank you. I tell anyone that asks, try it. You get to know them, before the pressure of meeting them in person. Be honest and the honesty will come through. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I now have someone to spend the rest of my life with.
