Though a serious relationship wasn't at the top of my list, I was hoping to find men who were worth dating. I had tried a couple of other dating websites and just wasn't finding men worthy of my time. After going on a few dates through eHarmony, my roommate jokingly was going to start a poster board to keep the potential men straight with their careers and interests.
After a few months online and moving into a new apartment I had set up a date with Chas. I wasn't too sure about the date because his profile and his emails were quite brief and I am a lady of detail! On the first date we went to a late dinner and actually had to wait to be seated, which was a little awkward not knowing him! As the night went on we enjoyed food and conversation and we decided to head to a coffee shop after dinner. The coffee shop was closed so he decided to invite me over to play cards and drink coffee at his house. The date ended later that evening with a hug goodbye and we enjoyed conversations over the phone for the next few days.
The next weekend we met for another dinner near my place at which time I informed him that I don't even like coffee but that I did like him! We continued casually dating for the next few months but had a mutual understanding that we were exclusively dating. The relationship got serious very quickly and we even attended holiday parties with each other's extended families. I was excited and nervous as his family invited me to more and more events and even included me on their Christmas letter only two months after meeting Chas.
As we learned more about each other's interests we have gone ice fishing, water tubing, and jogging together. We spent the summer introducing each other to college and high school friends and bonding with our families. A little over a year since we met, I know that Chas is the love of my life and I can't believe how much fun we have together. I am so thankful that I found him and that eHarmony was the website that brought us together!
