When I saw John's picture I immediately liked his smile and relaxed look. He says my picture had a great smile and I fit the idea of the kind of girl he had always been attracted to. After a few emails I finally agreed to call him and our first conversation lasted an hour easily. We met at a local brewery on my side of town and we hit it off immediately. Our first dinner lasting 4 hours!! It took off from there, no turning back.

Even though he was a teacher originally from back east and I a doctor born in England, bred in Arizona; we had almost everything in common. He won over me very quickly with his quick wit and sense of humor, as well as his wonderful tall stature. He tells me I was easy to talk to, liked my intelligence and of course (his words) easy on the eyes. He won over my parents with his honesty, his calm demeanor and his words of commitment to me. We were soon engaged "unofficially" by Christmas, then officially on Valentine's Day, with a very emotional popping of the question.  It was a whirlwind few months of preparation for the wedding, my last 6 months of residency in pediatrics, and the rest of the school year for him.

We married on July 5th 2008, in a beautiful wedding. Our Vows brought tears to our eyes, as we told the entire room that we had after all these years met our soul mate. And what a wonderful feeling it was. Now as we settle down into a wonderful marriage, we get to celebrate again in our wedding gear as we fly to India this Christmas to have a reception for all the plethora of Indian relatives that could not fly all those miles to Arizona. So we have the gift of a reliving of sorts that wonderful day in July that I met the partner for the rest of my life.
