We met on eHarmony.com in March of 2005.  Both of us had resigned ourselves to being single.  And then, a friend suggested I try eHarmony.  She assured me that this might be a way to meet new people and it would be fun.  So I gave it a try. 

Brent tried eHarmony at the suggestion of a coworker, but he only did the 1 month trial.  I had stopped going on the website for about 2 months, but had paid for an entire year, so I decided to give it a try for a while longer.  (I was also encouraged by a close friend who became engaged to her eHarmony match during this time!)  Right when I started going to the site again, Brent increased his radius from the previous 50 miles, and we were matched!  Had I not gone back to eHarmony, or had he not increased his radius, we might never have met. 

When we met we felt like we’d known each other forever.  There was a comfort, a passion, a sense of belonging and a trust that neither of us had ever felt before.  In May of 2005 I met Brent’s 8-year-old daughter Tristan, and she has become one of life’s greatest blessings.  When we married on April 28, 2007, we not only exchanged our wedding rings, but we presented Tristan with a necklace of 3 rings, pledging ourselves to each other and to her.  We’ve been married a little over a year now and it has been the best year of our lives.
