Location: Saint Charles, MO
Engaged: July 8th, 2008
We were matched on eHarmony on Memorial Day weekend 2007, and we made it to open communication within 24 hours. It was a free communication weekend, I wasn't a paid member at the time, so at the end of the weekend I paid for a 1-month membership just so I could see John's photo (he had purchased a 3-month membership at that weekend). I liked what I saw, so we exchanged cell phone numbers and started talking on the phone. We met for lunch the following weekend and have been dating steady ever since. We got engaged on July 6, 2008 while on vacation in Seattle, WA and now we're busy planning our September 12, 2009 wedding. I never thought I would find someone who was so compatible to myself, we have the same likes and dislikes and we share the same values. Thank you, eHarmony, your scientific matching system really works!
We can't wait to get married and to start our lives together as husband and wife! John has 3 children from a previous marriage, so I'll become step-mom to his 3 beautiful children (ages 8, 10 & 12). John and I have taken trips together to Florida, Seattle and Switzerland, and we've taken a "family vacation" with the kids this past June to Destin, FL. People have always said that traveling together is the true test of a relationship, and we've definitely put it to the test, especially traveling internationally, and we've always had a great time on all of our trips, we're the most compatible travelers, which was quite a relief. I think the trip to Florida with the kids was the deciding factor for John, because we got along so well and it felt like we were a family. Thank, eHarmony, you matched me with the man of my dreams!
