I met Justin within the first two months of my eHarmony membership.  I had a hang up about going on line to find “the guy” but finally had enough of dating the wrong guys.  I’m glad I got over it.  eHarmony cuts through the first few months of a relationship by asking the tough life questions up front and makes sure you are matched on similar traits.  It works really well when people answer the questions honestly.  Justin and I are a true testament to that.  I tell every single person I meet to keep an open mind and just try it.  It was the best $100 I ever spent.

Our first date was for coffee at the Starbucks in Ormond Beach, FL which was halfway between our homes in Jacksonville and Orlando.  Justin is more than just “good on paper.”  He’s a very sweet and sensitive person who has treated me with the highest respect all three years I have known him.  We hit it off immediately and began trading off weekends.  One weekend in Jacksonville then one weekend in Orlando, and so on.  In April of 2008, Justin got down on one knee and asked me to marry him during one of our normal Saturday morning walks on Jacksonville Beach.  We had been discussing marriage but I wasn’t expecting a proposal that soon.  That’s the kind of guy he is though.  He wanted to make it special so he asked me several months earlier so I would be surprised.  He had a vintage inspired ring designed with diamonds his grandparents left behind.  It’s beautiful but even more so because so much thought and preparation went into it.  We both took jobs in Austin, TX and moved together before the wedding.  Our wedding was out on Lake Travis on a gorgeous day last March.  We bought a house together around the same time and recently rescued a dog named Lindy.  We really couldn’t be happier and our now discussing when is the right time to start our family!

I’ve read some of your other success stories and they are great.  We really don’t have too much to say though.  There was no drama or extenuating circumstances.  Nothing extra ordinary happened.  It was just two people who were looking for their life partner and when they found each other everything just fell into place.  Thank you eHarmony.
