I subscribed to eHarmony for three months and had no matches so I gave up and let my subscription end. I would still check to see if I had any matches that interested me. I checked one day and saw a request for communication. I read his profile over and over but he had no picture. I could not request one because I had no subscription. By the time I finally decided to renew, he had closed communication for no response. I went in to close him out and there was a response that requested that communications be reopened, so I selected it. The next time I checked he had reopened and communication began and that was how we started.

We went through all the stages and we learned a little about each other. We seemed to have a lot in common. We finally started emailing each other and then we started talking and we learned more about each other. Then he decided it was time to meet each other.  He stayed in Detroit and I stayed in Mississippi. He came to Mississippi for a few days. When he came off the plane I liked what I  saw and I knew if he was as nice inside as he was outside I thought this just might be it. Over the next few days we spent time with family, friends and each other, it was a great time. It ended all too soon.

Over the next two months I went to Detroit two times and every time we saw each other my feelings grew stronger and stronger. I was hoping his feelings were the same. Then he decided that we needed to be around each other more so we could get to know each other better. So since he was retired he moved to Mississippi and a beautiful relationship began.  After a few months he asked me to marry him. On August 16, 2008 at 4:00pm we were married and I have never been happier. Thank you eHarmony for getting us together. You out there, don’t give up hope just keep trying, he or she is out there just waiting for a chance.
