Location: Sandy, UT
Married: June 28th, 2008
Jeff and I were delivered to each other on April 9, 2007. We knew after the first few emails there was something special because we both looked forward to our daily mail from each other. We emailed through eHarmony for one month daily and the emails brought humor and laughter to our lives. Both of us email like we talk so it was very easy to see that we each had a sense of humor that worked with the other ones personality. Then I finally gave him my phone number. The first time we talked the first 10 minutes contained a little bit of awkwardness but after that the conversation flowed and it never stopped. It was like we had known each for years! We talked each night on an average over an hour. Of course on our long night conversations (2-4 hours) we got very little sleep and were excited and both exhausted at work the next day.
After two months of talking and emailing we set the date to meet on the Oregon Coast. (Jeff lived in Utah and I lived in Washington State). We stayed on the Oregon Coast for a week in June and the hardest thing was when we had to leave and go back to our homes without each other. During the summer and fall of 2007 we saw each other monthly and continued our nightly conversations then winter set in. That was hard because the roads were bad and we weren't able to see each other for 2 months although we continued to talk and email daily. We knew that we were going to spend our lives together as we were so natural together but who was going to move became the question. Both of us had been at our jobs and owned our homes for over 20 years. We knew that if we wanted to be together that both of us were going to have to give up some things in order for this to happen. We decided that if I found a job in Utah I would be the one to move. So I began searching the internet for a job and was offered a dream job in December 2007 which I took.
We met each other's children and grandchildren and they accepted us as although we had always been together. We decided we would get married in June 2008 as that would be a year from the time we first laid eyes on each other. So we made plans and decided we would marry in Las Vegas as that would be halfway for all the kids and friends to come to the wedding. We know each other well enough that if one of us is upset about outside issues we talk about it. We have open communication which is a first for both of us so this has been a learning experience. I look forward to coming home after work and so does he so we can be together. I can't thank eHarmony enough for matching me with my lifetime soul mate. All aspects of our lives agree including our personalities, our likes and dislikes, our humor, our morals and ethics, our love of fishing and motorcycle riding. Without eHarmony, Jeff and I would have never met and I wouldn't be in this wonderful, comfortable, happy, and laughter filled marriage! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
