Barbara and Rod

Rod was the second person to contact me on eHarmony, less than 24 hours after I had first gone onto the site. We exchanged emails for about three weeks, had a phone conversation, and agreed to meet for a walk, which also led to a pleasant dinner on an outside patio on the last day of summer 2007.

He had been on eHarmony for nearly 18 months, and had met and dated quite a few women! I was interested in him as soon as I began corresponding with him. The more I got to know him, the more I knew that I didn't want to date anyone else. After just a few dates, he invited me to accompany him to New Mexico for New Years, as he was planning to visit his sister and her husband for the holiday. We had a wonderful time together! We have been spending nearly every weekend together since we met. Rod asked me to marry him in July. Although it was done in a way that was unexpected, I think we both knew very soon after we met that we would be spending our lives together.
