Laurine and Michael
Michael and I want to share with you what joining eHarmony has done for us. I received a match from you for Michael from Dover, NH. I responded to the match of Michael from Dover wishing him a wonderful New Year and that's when the relationship started. Our communication was good from the onset and we had so much in common it was uncanny. Our faith, our political believes, food, likes, dislikes. I was amazed at how we were so matched. We finally displayed our photos I think in the second month of communication.
He courted me, but we both new this relationship wasn't just a dating situation. In July on the 28th Michael brought me to this elegant restaurant in Maine named Arrow's. He had made arrangements with them because he was going to propose. It was the most incredible place. Everyone was in on the surprise and after dinner Michael and I took a walk in the gardens. The path for clientele ended, but Michael took my hand and asked me to follow him. We went through a maze of flowers and bushes and came out into this opening. He looked at me and started walking me across the opening to a granite bench at the far end. I noticed rose petals and candles all over this bench and in the middle was a ring box, open with this incredible ring. I stopped and looked at Michael and he smiled and said he wanted everything to be perfect for this moment. Then he picked the ring out of the box, took my hand and asked me to marry him. We just stood there looking into each others eyes filled with tears; he hugged me and said "well will you?" I laughed because I hadn't said yes up to that point. Which of course I responded, "Yes Michael, I will marry you". Then we kissed.
We strolled back to the restaurant where they had champagne waiting and greetings with flowers from the staff. They escorted us back to our table and we had tea and dessert. I am so thrilled to share this with you. We chose January 12, 2008 for our wedding and had such a wonderful time planning it together. Our adult children were all so very happy for us. And our wedding was an event that will not be forgotten for a very long time. Both my sons walked me down the aisle, my grandchildren were Jr. Bridesmaids, flower girls and my grandson the ring bearer. Michael and I want to say thank you for bringing us together. In truth I never would have met Michael on my own or he me. I lived in Lynn, MA and he resided in Dover, NH, about 50 or so miles separated us, but it might as well been a continent. So we both want to thank you Dr. Warren for your commitment to matching personalities and fulfilling the hearts desires of Michael and me.
