Sharon and Bill were each seeking long term companionship when they signed up for the program at eHarmony. Both were seniors and divorced after long marriages with grown children and grandchildren, with lots of experiences to bring into a relationship. We wanted to find someone to be with for the rest of ou lives, enjoying activities and projects, staying active, providing joy in their senior, golden years. Each probably joined eHarmony about the same day and began answering each other’s eHarmony questions around the middle of March, 2004.
Sharon felt it was amazing how well matched they were in the values they each thought were important. Family values seemed to rise to the top in priority, but they were also agreeing on almost all likes and dislikes, must haves and can’t stands, etc. Besides occupations, religious preference, heredity traits, and many experiences were nearly identical. Each even had a son with the name of Troy William. After lots of information- seeking emails and phone calls, being so well matched, they felt that they had known each other for years by the time they first met face to face at a dance at the Auburn, Washington, Eagles.
Bill and Sharon have dated now for over five months and have enjoyed movies at home and in the theater, especially sci-fi and action packed fiction stories, like Spider Man and Harry Potter and Lord of Rings and other great films. They challenge each other at cards, scrabble and board games. They have gone to fairs, lots of rock and roll dances, picnics, concerts, had meals out, cooked for each other, have gone on short trips and baby sit for the grandchildren and participate in family events, plus much more. Bill is very active in sports and is coaxing Sharon into joining his co-rec softball team and playing pickle ball. He plays on two baseball leagues and plays racquetball twice a week. Sharon is a member of the cheering section. Both of them swim a lot and don’t have any problem finding additional activities that they have in common.
Both Sharon and Bill are now planning to be together long term. They have bought five acres on which to build a home and they have been furniture shopping. But what to do with all the accumulated material things gathered over the years? Details still being worked out in order to manage the duplication of goods. But, wedding talk is being heard and this couple will work it all out. They get along extremely well because they are so well suited to each other. eHarmony did a super job finding a match for each of them!
