We have a really neat story. My roommate signed up for eHarmony, and I signed up a few days later. I was pretty skeptical because I had tried another online dating service with horrific results. With eHarmony I went on dates with 5 or 6 men before I met Brad. People had always told me that when you know, you know, but I didn't believe them until I met Brad. We immediately started seeing each other exclusively and have had a whirlwind courtship ever since. We have traveled the US together (Michigan, San Antonio, Arkansas, Boston, Indiana just to name a few) and he even took me on my first trip to Europe. We spent a week in Paris last October. He proposed and it was the most amazing moment of my life. We both enjoy golfing together so he got down on one knee after a round and handed me a ball with a ring inside that said, "Lauren, will you marry me?" I of course said yes. The neat part about our story is that my roommate is also planning a wedding with a man she met on eHarmony. We're both serving as each other's maids of honor. I had all but given up on the dating scene until I came here, and now I'm certainly glad I did!
Our latest update is that here we are, 3 weeks from returning to Paris, and we found out we are going to have a baby in late March of next year. We had wanted to wait a little while, but now are so excited we can't stand it! Who would have thought that just over a year ago we were both ready to give up on love, and now we have not only found each other, but are going to start a family and build our lives together for a long time to come. Thanks again for giving me the opportunity to experience love like I had never known!
