I never thought this would work. After two months and a number of false starts, I was in my last week on eHarmony. I was literally calling it a day. I had no time to date, was depressed about my prospects, and was ready to give up- and then I heard from Eric.

I got my first communication from him on Saturday. His sense of humor was great, and he was tickled to talk to a girl that loves Star Wars. Everything about meeting each other was a big "Well, DUH." Like this was a person I should have known my entire life. Like we'd KNOWN each other for that long. The things we had in common, the things that were complementary...the sheer amount of fundamentally important things we each held dear about our lives that we agreed upon was staggering- political views, environmentalism, how we wanted to raise children, household duties, dogs vs. cats, religion, social awareness....the list continues. We were stunned at how quickly and easily things happened between us, and how hard we fell.

This was late last August. I moved in by Halloween. We were engaged December 2nd. June 6 was what we refer to as the Best Day Ever.
