Nearly Gave Up

I was on eHarmony for about 1.5 yrs, nearly ready to give up. Dave was on eHarmony for about 1.5 weeks, curious if this thing really works. One morning, I was reading through "David” from Alta Loma's profile for about 1.5 minutes when I realized I needed to let him know I was interested in communicating. We got through the communication stages in about four days, began talking on the phone that weekend, met nearly four weeks after that (in the center of an ice rink), and had our tenth date within two weeks. Many of our interests, our backgrounds, our values ...are so similar. It's because of eHarmony, and the preliminary work they do in setting up matches, that we were able to connect immediately, and begin laughing and enjoying this relationship. Through this past year our friends & family are just amazed at how perfect we are for each other, and as we share our eHarmony story with them and others, it gives hope to those still in search of finding their soul mate. Dave and I plan on marrying this fall, and are also in the beginning stages of finding out what steps we need to take to begin the adoption of our future children, once we marry. eHarmony has helped to launch what Dave and I both know will be a truly blessed family, and for that we are both grateful. We love the fact that our story inspires those to keep looking and not give up, and we especially love the fact that eHarmony was so instrumental in matching us up so perfectly, knowing that either one of us would not settle for a lesser person.
