Amy and Brian

Ocean Springs, MS

We were matched up August 16, 2007 and Brian closed me out because he said he "could only handle one woman at a time!" Well finally about 2 months later he reopened me and responded to my questions. I remembered that he had closed me out and when I was able to actually type something into the guided question section I asked him if he had "closed me out" and reluctantly he said he had. Well, it progressed from there and we communicated everyday by email through eHarmony and then finally spoke on the phone. We talked every day, sometimes for hours!

We dated for almost a year before Brian proposed to me on the Biloxi Schooner(a beautiful sailboat). He proposed on the Schooner because that was where we had our first date. He asked my dad for his permission and blessing but told him to keep it a secret from everyone! October 12, 2008, a beautiful Sunday afternoon, Brian, me, my dad, mom, and sister were all aboard the boat for what I thought was to celebrate my sister's birthday...but Brian had other plans! My dad was going to take pictures of us when Brian got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!

On the day of the wedding it was an absolutely perfect spring day! We got married in the courtyard of the Mobile Botanical Gardens in front of the fountain and had pictures taken all over the gardens especially in the rhododendron garden where the "Amy" azaleas were blooming! It was definitely a "fairy tale" day! Brian is such an amazing and thoughtful person! I would never have met him if it had not been for eHarmony! Thank you eHarmony for matching me with such a wonderful person! Thank you for making both of our dreams come true!

One reason I signed up for eHarmony was that my sister had met her boyfriend on here. She is now getting married on August 8, 2009. I figured if she was willing to try an online site (and this was the only one that she would try) then it was worth a shot! Plus if I figured even if I didn't end up meeting anyone then at least I was getting a free personality profile and learning a lot about myself! I tell everyone that I met my husband on eHarmony! Thank you so much!
