Ours is probably the story of many other at eHarmony. Ricardo was 28 looking for that right woman to have a serious relationship with and I just hadn't had the time with my education to run into someone that was serious about a relationship. He had seen eHarmony and thought he would give it a try a while before and I kept seeing those commercials so when the introduction weekend email was sent to me I got right online. I thought what could I lose? Within the day we met and the conversations were quick, it's like we couldn't wait to really start taking it to that next level, we felt so comfortable with each other.
What started off as 1 or 2 hour conversations every other day quickly became 4-6 hours every day talking on the phone. Distance could not keep us apart; we knew we were meant for each other.
We first saw each other when I went out to Massachusetts, it was just a confirmation of all we had already known, this was "the one." I spent time there meeting his family and he came back to Michigan to meet my family. I won't lie it was very hard when he went back but that only made us stronger and more sure of our relationship. I visited again in March for my spring break and then I spent some more time after classes let out in May. In July he made the decision to follow me back to Michigan.
We decided we wanted a small family wedding in October and that's just what we got. Because we took the all that time we weren't near each other to really talk about every deep issue out there our marriage counseling was a breeze.
We just had our wedding October, 11, 2008 and now we are that amazingly happy "eHarmony success couple" looking forward spending the rest of our lives together.
