Bill and Debbie
Last March, after 6 months and 1500 matches - 900 for me and 600 for her. We were both about to call it quits for eHarmony. Then a month before my time ran out Debbie appeared on my screen. I sort of gasped and felt like warm jello at the same time. We started and finished our guided communication all on one Saturday. After weeks of email, the first phone call lasted about 6 hours. By the end of the call I had booked a flight From Newark to Dallas for the following month. We spoke every free minute of every day for a month. On the flight to DFW I had a dozen yellow roses and was flirted with beyond belief. But I had Debbie in every thought. We were both incredibly nervous, on cell phones with each other outside the airport. When she first caught my eyes she ducked behind a pole, emerged in a second, hugged and fell in love.
I moved to Dallas a few weeks later, bought a house in near by Frisco and have spent the last year loving, growing and learning how to really communicate with each other. A year went by and over Memorial day weekend I asked her to set a date. September 20th, 2008. Coincidently, that date happens to be my parent’s 56th wedding anniversary. I asked my Dad to be my Best Man, and she asked my Mom to be her Matron of Honor. Deb’s Mom unfortunately passed away 5 years from cancer at the young age of 56. They both accepted their roles and besides running our own business we had to plan a wedding. Never in my life did I think I would find some so perfectly suited for me, and Deb feels the same.
