My husband, Craig, and I met on eHarmony while we were half a world apart.  He was in Illinois, and I was teaching in U.S. Guam.

One funny thing about our eHarmony journey was that both of us had been given a gift subscription to eHarmony by our older sisters. We decided to give it a try.

We were matched in August 2006, but didn't actually contact each other until January 2007 (if we would have known what a great match we were we never would have hesitated so long!)

We corresponded by guided communication on eHarmony, then eventually called each other and fell in love through many chats, emails, and phone conversations.  We couldn't meet face to face until July 2007 when I returned to the states from Guam. In a way it was a real blessing not to be able to meet right away, because we felt that we really got to know each other well though writing. eHarmony did a wonderful job of matching our personalities.  Although we are different in many ways, we bring out the best in each other.  We get along really well and our core values are the same. eHarmony was a safe, comfortable and fun way to get acquainted. We had many heart to heart chats and talks.  Because of the time zone difference, when I called him at 11:00 p.m., it was 7:00 a.m. for him!  So I wished him a "good morning" as he said "sweet dreams" to me!

By the time we finally got to meet eye to eye, we felt like we'd been close friends for years. Long story short, we first joined hands on 07-07-07, and joined our lives in marriage on 06-07-08. My 12 year old son (from my previous marriage) was Craig's best man, and my 10 year old daughter was my maid of honor.  Craig is a super dad to the kids, which was really important to me. We feel so blessed to have met, and we share our enthusiasm about eHarmony with people all the time!

On 04-04-09 Craig and I were blessed with a beautiful daughter, Abigail. A few years ago, neither one of us would have dreamed that our lives would take this wonderful turn in our 40's, but we are so happy about it!
