We met on eHarmony in the summer of 2003. I was a divorced mom of two young children with no time or energy for a social life. Ara was also divorced with two older children. That summer, I decided it was time to try to do something about my life, which, for the last two years, had revolved exclusively around children and work. I met someone at a dinner party who convinced me to join eHarmony. The amazing thing is that both Ara and I met each other within the first month of joining!

What attracted me to Ara was his sense of humor and personality which practically burst through the computer. It didn't hurt that we have the exact same political views, religious ideals, and similar family backgrounds. The most difficult part of the relationship was that I live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Ara lived in Detroit! It was an expensive commuter relationship for a year, then last summer, Ara moved here, we got married, and we're living happily ever after.
