It was January 2007 when Shannon and I first joined eHarmony.com. I was new to Long Beach and Shannon had great friends at work who encouraged her to try your site. We both had our reservations, but feel that with your compatibility matching, we first got connected. Going through the opening questions to each other and finally setting a place to meet on February 16th, I was very excited and enjoyed the process. Shannon and I met at Polly's coffee house in Belmont Shore and really got the relationship going.

It was an amazing journey to meet out in public and exchange stories about our families and upbringing. We took it slow and then after a few months I first met Shannon's Dad, and then her Mom and siblings a few weeks later. I knew that Shannon and I were meant to be together and I am so happy that we found each other in Long Beach California.

On March 15th, 2008 I proposed marriage to Shannon. We had climbed Mt. Whitney in Lone Pine and I chose a spot amongst the natural beauty of our state. I was nervous reflecting on our past two years and how exactly we got to this point. When Shannon said, “YES” she made me the happiest guy in the whole world.
