Upon the urging of my boss, I signed up for E-Harmony one year ago this week. For lack of better terms, I felt like I was given the keys to Fort Knox and told I could take whatever I wanted. I was impressed that the women were all intelligent, beautiful, and had such great personalities.

Mandy and I were matched January 9th and had our first date 3 weeks later. I was pleasantly surprised that she was also a single mother to a four year old daughter. We really clicked on the phone during the time leading up to our first date. We went out the first time to a quick dinner. Obviously, the butterflies were there, and we both left not sure if we would see each other again. We agreed to go out a second time, and the sparks immediately flew into the Stratosphere. After a few months, I knew that she was everything I was looking for when I joined E-Harmony.

We then agreed that it was time for our children to meet and see if this was really a long term deal. We had the children meet up at a park and the day could not have gone better. I have enjoyed my son Brendan getting to know her daughter almost as much as I have enjoyed getting to know, and fall in love with, Mandy. I often refer to us as "The Brady Bunch minus 4 kids".

I proposed to Mandy last week, and she obviously accepted. We are eternally grateful to eHarmony for bringing us together. We live about 30 miles apart and know we would never have met without the website. Mandy and I are getting married March 5, 2011 here in the Chicago area.

Update: I wanted to let you know that our son, Justin Grant Corbett, was born on August 16, 2011 in Wheaton. He joins my son and Mandy's daughter from our previous marriages. We continue to be eternally grateful to E-Harmony for the chance to meet and find true happiness.
