I met Malia on eHarmony in the fall of 2005.  I am the head of programming for a cable television network; Malia is a lobbyist for the National Wildlife Foundation.  I had dated quite a few women on eHarmony before meeting her (as well as dating other women I met on various dating sites over the previous few years). Malia had just exited a long term relationship and was trying on-line dating for the first time (I was her third on-line date). 

Over the course of two years I realized this was a woman I couldn't let get away from me.  At Thanksgiving time of 2007 after two years of dating I asked her to marry me on the beach in Florida.  "Of course" she said.  In June of 2008 we got married.  I was 49, Malia 39.  It is the first marriage for both of us.  We wanted to try to have a baby and we were blessed that two months later Malia became pregnant.  On April 20, 2009- our son, Jacen Jacob (aka J.J. "The Rocket")was born.  Without eHarmony we never would have met - thank you!
