Well, ours is a funny story (we think so anyway). Mike walked into my church in the summer of 2004 at the same time our church was opening a cafe. I was working at the cafe and Mike kept showing up. I tried to make a connection but he just ignored me. So I thought I was just being foolish and put him out of my mind. He also stopped coming to the cafe.

In October 2004 I decided to take charge of my dating situation so I joined eHarmony. I liked that it wasn't a candy shop of sorts - just look around and see what you like. I loved that I would be matched to men who were in the same mind-set as me. After a month I got discouraged so I left eHarmony. In January 2005 I received an email from eHarmony with a special 3-for-1 deal. I rejoined in January and unbeknownst to me Mike joined in February. We were matched on March 7, 2005. When we saw each other's pictures, we were shocked that we had already met. And I finally found out why he ignored me at the cafe...He thought I was married! We used the eHarmony site and then we went on our first date. I was in love...he was in love! We knew that we would marry. We knew that we were meant to be together. Being matched at eHarmony gave us one more reason to be secure with our union. We married April 22, 2006, just one year after our first date.
