From the moment we started answering each other's questions, we realized that we both really think alike. eHarmony did a fantastic job matching us, and we've been recommending it to all kinds of friends.  

The first thing that attracted me to Roger was his sincerity and his zest for life. He was so open with me over the phone, and he willingly shared his entire life story...all the good and the bad...with me. Roger is so real. It didn't take long before I realized that his qualities were all I had ever wanted in a mate. I greatly appreciate his sense of humor, energy level, positive attitude, and everything else he shares with me. He just has a way of making everyone around him smile...especially me.  

Our first date was incredible. It lasted two and a half days! I knew before I ever met him in person that I loved him...just from all of our contact online and our long phone conversations. Roger drove all the way from Canada to see me on a Friday afternoon, and we went to my friend's 40th birthday party together that night. Roger was very comfortable there. I loved how he was able to talk to complete strangers with such ease. The next day, we cooked breakfast for my parents. Then, he took me out for lunch. We shared food with each other. I loved it! Then, we went shopping and to a symphony concert. We made dinner together and ate it on my balcony late at night. The next day was Mother's Day. After, Roger and I had lunch at a great little place on the water (we shared each other's food again), we went to my parents house and he met my sisters. That could have been intimidating, but not for Roger. Again, he was comfortable and he was totally himself. Everyone loved him!  

We met online in April, met in person in May and immediately started a serious relationship, and we were engaged in June. Get this...we were engaged at my nephew's wedding reception. I caught the bouquet and Roger caught the garter. Now if that wasn't a sign, I don't know what is. Roger had the ring in his pocket all weekend long and was just waiting for the perfect moment. Well, his timing was perfect. He asked me to marry him...microphone in hand...right in front of an entire reception hall full of people and, of course, I said yes! I have never been happier in my life.  

Roger and I were married on October 15, 2005. I have welcomed his beautiful children as a part of my life and I look forward to being a positive influence in their lives. I would do anything to be near Roger because he totally completes me. In fact, after we were married I moved up to Ontario, Canada.  Roger and I should be the poster children for eHarmony. We are such big believers in it! We wish that everyone finds the kind of love that we have found.
