Marvel and Ingolf
Like so many others, we were just two people both searching for that perfect someone to share our lives with and decided to try eHarmony as it appeared to be more than just a dating site. We both put a lot of thought and time into filling out the questionnaire and it was definitely worth it. From the time that we were matched in August 2005, we both felt that there was something very special between us.
I had my best friend reviewing my matches with me and I kept returning to Ingolf’s profile and saying “there’s something special about this guy” so I initiated contact. We emailed frequently for a few days and answered all of the questions and when I knew that he was for real, I gave him my phone number and we talked for countless hours over the next few weeks. I felt like I got to know him better and faster because of the shared questions and then all of the hours of conversation than if we’d initially met in person. When he met me at the Vancouver airport a few weeks later and gave me that first hug, I was hooked…literally as he’s a fisherman!
We spent a wonderful few days together before he went out on a commercial fishing trip but he had my heart and the absence only intensified our feelings for each other. He returned and spent the winter in my hometown of Fernie where we confirmed that what we had together was very special. We vacationed in Cuba that winter and when we returned to Cuba in 2007 he proposed to me on the beach at sunset on Valentine’s Day. On November 1, 2008 we were married in Maui on the beach, just the two of us. I recommend eHarmony to anyone that is looking for that “real” relationship. We can attest that their system works and it can put you in touch with that true soul-mate that you would otherwise never meet.
