I honestly doubt that we would have met without you, as Michele was living the downtown life in  Toronto and didn’t drive, and I lived in Markham and went downtown infrequently.  We both led very busy and full lives. She never thought that she would meet the type of guy that she wanted “up north” and I thought I wanted a country girl. Boy, were we wrong!

I had spent many years searching for a match on other dating web sites with limited success. I never seemed to find the right person and was on the verge of giving up my search. It is no wonder, because I now realize that I was not looking for the right person all along. It took eHarmony to help me understand the difference between my perceived wants and my true needs. I can tell you that once I was on eHarmony it took only a couple short weeks before I met Michele and discovered not only physical attraction but also deep compatibility.

We had our first date on Friday, April 13, 2007 at the AGO to see the Emily Carr exhibit. Being a fine art major, I knew that I had met someone special when she suggested we go the art gallery to see an exhibit she had already seen. We quickly discovered that we not only had a love for the arts but were very similar in many ways. I was immediately smitten and it was only 1 year until I decided that she was the one I wanted to be with forever. I proposed on Sauble Beach on July 6, 2008 in the moonlight, giving her my grandmother’s ring that weeks earlier she had described perfectly when I probed for her preference. That truly was a sign!

We were married on April 18, 2009 and I can tell you that I have never been happier in my entire life. Finally, at 40 I met the woman of my dreams, thanks to you!!!
