I have been a northern nurse working in isolated regions on Aboriginal reserves for 8 years. He is a physician working in the closest city where I have friends and I knew a lot of his colleagues. We never met. We came to the north 1 month apart 8 years ago.  I had heard of him, but that was all, he had never heard of me.  I had given up and was leaving the north. Then we met on eHarmony over a year ago.  So we both decided to stay in the area to discover this relationship. 

He has adopted my dogs like they are his own, takes such good care of them, he is so good to them.  He is the most wonderful person; I would have never imagined such a unique, energetic, loving person.  He proposed to me on the 16th of December on the lake where we live in 40 below on the ice road. I call it, “The polar proposal” with a handmade ring, made for him at birth in India by his Grand Mother.  It will be an east meets the west wedding, a mix of his East Indian culture with my Franco Acadian culture.  He told me he didn't think he would get married, he was happy with his life and didn't think it needed anything more… but then he met me and I made it even better.
