Dr. Neil Clark Warren, Founder and CEO of eHarmony, Receives Lifetime Achievement Award at iDate Conference
eHarmony today announced its founder and CEO, Dr. Neil Clark Warren received the Lifetime Achievement Award last week at the 2013 iDate Conference in Las Vegas. This prestigious award honors Dr. Warren’s vision and leadership in bringing more than 35 years of clinical experience to create a relationship site using a scientific process developed on the basis of 29 Dimensions® of Compatibility as the determining factor in the success of a long-term relationship.
“I am deeply honored and appreciative to receive this award. Putting two people together for a love that lasts a lifetime is one of the most underestimated challenges of humanity,” said Dr. Warren. “What we set out to do in 2000 has far exceeded our dreams as we now have over 565,000 marriages and more than 44 million members, and the best is yet to come. As a psychologist and social scientist, helping people have long and happy relationships is highly rewarding and meaningful to me and our team at eHarmony.”
According to independent research data, an eHarmony couple weds every 2.65 minutes on average in the U.S., having been guided through a process that matches that couple based on factors that indicate compatibility and in fact, future harmony. The process includes a thorough and essential questionnaire which allows users to truly come to know themselves in order to find the best match possible.
“Dr. Warren’s pioneering approach to compatibility has differentiated eHarmony in the online dating industry. His vision and business acumen has contributed to our industry in numerous ways. He has brought together principles that have changed the relationship world forever,” said Mark Brooks, President, Internet Dating Executive Alliance. “Dr. Warren has created a platform that is much more sophisticated than simple pooling based on desired appearance traits, like hair color, height and income level. He’s demonstrated true leadership in the industry through creating a platform where people can find lasting love. We’re pleased to honor him with this award.”
Dr. Warren is also an inspirational speaker and noted author of several acclaimed books on the subjects of love and finding contentment, including, “Finding the Love of Your Life.”
