The one thing I am passionate about...
Music. It depends on what is going on. Cooking, baking, housework needs something to get you going. Driving, some good sing-a-longs, reading or working on a project that needs concentration, soft, easy listening. Romance, you need the good old fashioned crooners. My favorite is Englebert Humperdinck. He can make any song romantic. I love dogs. They are the best friend you can have. They are always happy to see you and by your side if you're sad or not feeling well or just great companions. They will listen to you no matter what.
I typically spend my leisure time
I enjoy treasure hunting at estate sales, concerts in the park, being by the water is calming, tinkering with my jewelry supplies whether it's a repair or to create a new set to wear with an outfit, reading in a quiet environment away from where I live. I don't feel like I should be doing something else instead. Playing euchre, ballroom dancing. Walks through a park if it is not stifling hot. Cooking or baking something different. Enjoy it more when there is someone to share it with.
The most influential person in my life has been
Honesty, someone who doesn't take life too seriously and can just relax and enjoy whatever life we have left. Someone who can carry on a conversation, where the words just flow and it is not a struggle to connect. One who is upbeat but not a clown or hurtful in their humor, helpful but not taking over, a good listener both ways, that we really understand what the other is trying to say. Someone that I can feel safe and secure with and just let me rest in their arms at the end of the day. Let nature takes it's course when the time is right.
The first thing people notice about me
My skin. I have always taken care of my skin and have been told many times I don't look my age.
The last book I read and enjoyed
Crisis of Character: It was written by one of the secret service men for the Clintons. I won't say anymore at this point.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My health
- Surviving some tough situations
- Talents God has given me.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I'm not as unapproachable as I may look. Probably more like afraid to say the first word. Frustrated.
Friends Describe me as
Creative, Genuine, Good listener, Warm
A little more about me
The last six years have been difficult for me as far as what do I do now. With my sons grown and both have their own lives, family has split up and I was very much involved with taking care of one person or another. I know they say it's time to take care of yourself. I'm not real big on the singles scene. I thought it would be a time to relax and enjoy life but it's not that easy. I'm pretty easy to talk to once the ice is broken. I'm not high maintenance or materialistic and enjoy simple things and nature and dogs. I never thought I would be in this position at this time of my life, trying to find someone to enjoy wha
