More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Singing onstage is indescribable, but I will try to explain. There is a huge rush of excitement when I'm onstage performing for an audience. I feed off the energy of the audience and the other singers. I know that very few people actually get to do the one thing they've dreamed about since they were a kid. I'm a lucky girl.

I typically spend my leisure time

After a long day at work, I like to watch TV or movies at home while relaxing on the couch. On the weekend, I want to be out and about doing something. It could be a festival, concert, movie, bowling, hanging out with friends....I'm all about using the weekend for memories.

The most influential person in my life has been

I'm looking for someone who will be my best friend, my ally, and my intellectual equal. I want a man who is confident without being mean, and is mature enough to know the difference. I want someone who has fun and likes to play. Life is too short to be serious all the time. There's a balance that is necessary to enjoy everything our time on earth has to offer.

The first thing people notice about me

my smile or my blue eyes. If I'm wearing pigtails, they tell me I look like the girl from NCIS.

The last book I read and enjoyed

"A Fault in our Stars" wow. It's a young audience book, but I would compare it to A Catcher in the Rye is considered a young audience book. It was honest, real without sugar coating how things in life just suck sometimes. Two kids have terminal cancer. They are really into a book that ends in the middle of a sentence. They go out of their way to find out the answers but it doesn't go according to "Disney" happy eve afters

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. I am thankful for a job that lets me have the same time off as my kids so I can be with them.
  2. I am thankful for my boys who mean everything to me.
  3. I am thankful for my family who love me unconditionally.

Friends Describe me as

A little more about me

I was an Air Force brat so my family moved a lot when I was little. I ended up attending 13 schools by the time I graduated from HS. I think that has helped me because I know how to adapt quickly to new environments. I think it hindered me because I keep my feelings close until I am sure that I'll be around for a while.
