More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Passion is absolutely necessary in all aspects of my life. I try to focus my life on doing what I feel passionate about, because that's how I will do the most good. The things that I care most about are my family, friends, dogs, and causes such as keeping people healthy and fed and women's rights . I'm passionate about my job (or at least most of it; there are the occasional tasks that I'm not at all interested in, but those are few and far between.) I am also passionate about learning new things and trying to solve problems and continually trying to improve myself.

I typically spend my leisure time

Hanging out with my dogsReadingExercisingWatching Duke basketball

The most influential person in my life has been

I want to be with someone who is happy with who he is and not looking for someone to "complete" or "fix" him. I'm not into drama. I enjoy being around people who are funny, intelligent, thoughtful can compassionate.

The first thing people notice about me

My energy. I'm a little of an oxymoron I guess, half extrovert and half introvert. I definitely need a lot of downtime/alone-time, but I love being around people. When I am around people, I'm excited and alive and smiling, laughing and having fun. Then I go home and crash and sleep. LOL

The last book I read and enjoyed

I've been on a reading kick lately. I just read a book called "My Name is Mary Sutter" which is a historical fiction about a woman during the Civil War who worked as a surgeon. Very interesting book and very well written. I love learning about different eras.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My family (dogs included)
  2. My drive/perseverance
  3. My health
